On 12th October 2023, the Executive Board and the Research Advisory Board of the Research Association met at the invitation of the management at Micro-Epsilon Messtechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Ortenburg at the invitation of the management.
Following a report from the Executive Board and a vote on events in 2024, they discussed how to deal with the handover of the AiF‘s activities to the DLR. It was determined that the processes for submitting applications for research projects under the IGF guidelines will not change until 31st December 2025. For the period thereafter, it was decided to develop a new strategy in good time in February 2024 in order to continue to effectively pursue the objectives of the Research Association for Spatial Electronic Assemblies in the future.
In the subsequent Research Advisory Board meeting, the status of ongoing and completed research projects was reported on. Three new outlines were presented and evaluated for the next application phase.
At the end of the successful day, the members of the Management Board and the Research Advisory Board were able to take a tour of the production facility to see the extremely precise sensors and mechatronic devices manufactured with the utmost care.
